Music Monday!

Image
This week I decided to go completely outside of my music comfort zone. I was looking all over last.fm for a lesser known indie or folk band that I could review, but then it came to me. (via pandora) My coworkers are always talking about house music, so I thought that I would give Avicii a listen. I listened to the song "Levels" because I heard it is one of his more popular songs. What can I say, the second it came on, it brought me back to Spain. This is dancing music!  It put me back in the dance club zone and all I wanted to do was jump up and down. Good thing I didn't because it was 7 am this morning, but still the beats on this song are so catchy. This is good for a going out song, just a really fun song. I will definitely check out more of Avicii. He is swedish and is my age, which is crazy because he is grammy nominated and world renowned. peace&grace, Danni

Music Monday!

As a person with the most random taste in music, I came up with a new plan to find new artists. For music monday, I will ask around to find one band, take a listen and review with my honest opinion. For the first ever music monday, I found a band right after I came back from Spain named Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They are utterly amazing and have such a unique sound with 9 PEOPLE in the band! My favorite song so far is a song called, "Home" it starts off with a harmony of whistling and a raspy woman's voice. It is a folk-y sound with a plethora of instruments incorporated. My favorite part of the song is when the girl and the boy start talking about halfway through. I know I am a little late on the Edward Sharpe bandwagon, but this interesting band deserves at least a listen from everyone. Plus, I saw them on David Letterman and their stage presence is so fun and infectious, I would love to see them live. Follow my blog with Bloglovin peace&grace, Dann...

New Obsession

My new obsession is a website called Pinterest. You will waste hours of your day on this site looking a crafty home design, yummy recipes and cute fashion. A cool feature of this site is that you are able to customize who you follow and what you want to see. It has helped me boost my creativity and is a source of  new inspiration. You can create your own folders to "pin" things to or just explore.  Source: williams-sonoma.com via Michelle on Pinterest Not to mention it is chalk full of dinner ideas, or if you want to work up an appetite! peace&grace, Danni                                                    Follow me on

We found love in a hopeless place

My USAC family has become my best friends, confidants and family, they have helped me mature and let loose at the same time, they are everything to me, but I must move on and I know now in the next chapter of my life, I can thank them for helping me become a better person Tonight was hard. It was the last night everyone was in San Sebastian and slowly everyone started parting ways. This morning Kim and Michelle left, rolling their suitcases out of our apartment. I hugged Kim and Michelle and suddenly our apartment was empty. The rooms were no longer filled with life and remnants of trips and shopping and spanish homework. I turned on the lights in each of their rooms and it was so weird that they weren't there. I walked to Abby's house for the last time earlier today and it was raining. I felt like the city was abandoned. The whole feeling of today was surreal. The past four months have been something that I can never explain to anyone ...ever! I have learned about myself...
